What made you choose this career with Charge Nutrition?
As early as I can remember, the ability to serve others has always been a priority in my life. At Charge, I get to do that every day, which doesn't feel like work!

What's your favorite snack? 
Mid-Afternoon PB Cacao Protein Shake. The BEST!

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
8 years ago I was depressed and 40 pounds heavier than I am today. Every day I do my best to work towards simply being healthy!

So, it's Saturday morning, you have nothing planned, what do you do with your free time?  
"At the Little League field watching my son, embarrassing myself on the tennis court, or maybe Home Depot or Bed Bath & Beyond. I don't know if we'll have enough time." - Old School

What made you choose this career with Charge Nutrition?
I have always loved food... That, plus my desire to help others improve their health, is what drew me to nutrition. Talking about food is one of my favorite things to do (along with grocery shopping!)... Plus it's such a great feeling when one of my clients finds success with a new food or habit and sees the results they want, and that's the type of work I get to do every day with Charge!

What's your favorite snack?
Popcorn! My favorite is with some truffle oil and nutritional yeast, it's so good. 

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
Setting aside the time to plan and prepare meals. Like I said, grocery shopping is fun for me, so that's never a problem! It's just putting it all together to make my food choices easier that can sometimes be a challenge. With so much going in our lives, I think most of us can relate.

So, it's Saturday morning, you have nothing planned, what do you do with your free time?
I'm usually up early and out for a long run on the Schuylkill River Trail! I'm a marathon runner, so that's pretty much a year-round activity. After my runs, I like to go explore new brunch spots in Philadelphia to refuel. Oh, and sip on coffee.


What made you choose this career as a Dietitian?
I accredit my passion for food and nutrition to my mom who always made it a priority to provide my family with wholesome, home cooked meals.  One of my favorite memories as a child is my whole family eating dinner together every night. I also love science. Science has always been my favorite subject, especially anatomy and physiology. I think the combination of these two passions lead me to choose Dietetics as a career choice. 

What's your favorite snack?
I have way too many favorite snacks to choose one! A definite “go to” of mine is fresh dips. I love home made salsa, guacamole, or hummus paired with veggies or baked chips. 

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
I have always enjoyed healthy foods so luckily that has never been much of a challenge for me. Exercising consistently has been more of a struggle. I find I really have to push myself to go work out. Once I am there, I really enjoy it! 

So, it's Saturday morning, you have nothing planned, what do you do with your free time?
A nice Saturday for me would be spending a relaxed day with my husband and son. Now that the weather is nice, we try to get outside as much as possible. Going for a long walk in the park near our house or spending the day at the pool are two things we like to do on the weekends.

What made you choose this career as a Dietitian?
I have always been interested in nutrition at a young age. t's funny but I still have an article that I wrote in 7th grade for my middle school newspaper on the benefits of fiber and whole grains. I was active all throughout high school and was always reading ways to become a better athlete through nutrition. In college, I participated in a mission trip to the Dominican Republic where I had the opportunity to provide nutrition education to a small community. I discovered that nutrition interventions can have such a positive impact on people no matter your age or where you live in the world. After the trip, I decided to switch my major to pursue a career in dietetics. 

What's your favorite snack?
Mangos

What would you consider your biggest health challenge? 
Taking a break from all of the technology that surrounds me. Sometimes I find myself in overdrive watching TV, working on my laptop and texting a friend on my iPhone all at the same time. I have to remind myself to take a break!

So, it's Saturday morning, you have nothing planned, what do you do with your free time? 
I really enjoy quiet time in the kitchen. Food is important in my Vietnamese culture so you'll probably find me making a nice breakfast or trying a new recipe. I've learned that the more time you spend in the kitchen when you are not in a rush, the easier it becomes when you are actually in a rush.


What made you choose this career with Charge Nutrition? 
I believe in leaving people better than you found them and I am proud to be a part of a team who shares that vision in their approach to improving others’ lives and health.

What's your favorite snack? 
Anything crunchy — Apples, crackers, almonds, toast, carrots, chocolate, cereal! Oh, and cheese!

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
Finding time to consistently exercise can be a big challenge for me, but I’m trying to get better at making it a priority.

Watching The Office on the couch all morning with my husband and kittens, drinking coffee, and eating a huge breakfast.

What made you choose this career as a Dietitian?
My Dad bribed me to read In Defense of Food when I was a freshman in college; I signed up for my first nutrition class the following semester. I was also looking for a career that allowed me to interact with people while preserving my inner science nerd, so nutrition was a good fit. 

What's your favorite snack?
Fancy mixed nuts. Wasabi seaweed when I'm on a budget.

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
Completing a 10-day juice fast while working full-time in a gourmet restaurant.

So, it's Saturday morning, you have nothing planned, what do you do with your free time?
I'd likely coerce my friends into playing basketball with me.


What made you choose this career as a Dietitian?
Growing up I would not even look at most types of vegetables (sorry, Mom & Dad!), but then in high school I decided to give my food and exercise habits a makeover. I could not believe how much better I felt and from then on I wanted to help others feel their best through health and wellness. Bring on the veggies! 

What's your favorite snack?
Homemade energy bites, for sure! I have experimented with many different combinations of these no bake beauties and my favorite variety is a mix of oats, almond butter, chia seeds, honey, vanilla, and coconut! My carrot cake version is a close second...

What would you consider your biggest health challenge?
I have an insane sweet tooth. If there is something I am really craving, I will give in to the temptation once in a while because I firmly believe all foods can fit within a healthy lifestyle. Other times I reach for a piece of fruit, Greek yogurt, or Halo Top!

Knowing myself, I will have some sort of plan since I always have a packed agenda! My favorite Saturday mornings include a good workout, big mug of coffee, and new recipes to tackle.
